The Sista’s want you to make peace with your Money issues, so here’s some Financial Healing from the fabulous Kate Phillips…
A Treasure M.A.P. for Creating Wealth (or Anything Else)
By Kate Phillips, Practical Prosperity Coach and founder of Total Wealth Coaching
People tell me that they would have more money if only their parents had taught them about it. If only they had been properly educated or had financial skills properly modeled, they would surely know how to live within their means and grow their investments.
Funny, nobody has ever used this same argument for sex. Whether or not their parents ever mentioned the word or (heaven forbid) gave a demonstration, most people manage to figure it out on their own.
You see, education does not ensure success, and information is NOT power. And the truth is that almost all of us know how to at least begin the journey towards our goals. After all, everybody knows that earning more and spending less will help our finances, just like exercising more and eating less could help our figures.
And yet… we struggle with money (our weight, relationships…), cycling through the same issues year after year.
What gives?
We need a Treasure MAP. We need a M.A.P. that will take us from where we are to where we want to be by addressing the root causes of our pain – the reasons we’ve been stuck.
“M” – We need a Mindset that supports wealth. We need to transform our belief systems, emotions, attitudes and expectations around money. We have to unwind our past conditioning and slay our disempowering thoughts. We’ve got to learn to heal our relationship with money, and most of all, forgive ourselves.
This is the most important and most neglected part of the wealth formula! Without a healthy mindset around money, we will only sabotage ourselves.
“A” – We need to take Action. First, we need to take action on the things we know to do, to stop procrastinating. And let’s be real, we haven’t done it before, so we’re going to need help and support of coaches, mentors and accountability partners.
“P” – And we need a Plan to ensure that we’re taking the right actions. We need a business strategy that works (if we are entrepreneurs), and a personal plan that fits. (We might even need some good information….)
With a good Plan, forward Action, and a Mindset in alignment with our goals and intentions, creating wealth is inevitable.
